Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

The session typically begins with a brief conversation to understand your needs and intentions for the session. As you lie comfortably on a massage table, the Reiki practitioner will gently place their hands on or slightly above various areas of your body, allowing the flow of positive energy to balance and harmonize your chakras. You may feel sensations of warmth, tingling, or gentle waves of energy as the practitioner works to release any blockages or imbalances. Throughout the session, you will be encouraged to let go of stress and tension, allowing the healing energy to restore and rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit. After the session, you will experience a sense of deep relaxation, mental clarity, and an overall feeling of well-being. It’s important to rememeber that each persons experience with Reiki is unique, but the ultimate goal is to promote a sense of healing and inner peace.
